Sycophants At Devils Workshop Pitching Osinbajo Against Tinubu! By Rotimi Makinde
No matter the plot of any divisive elements in Nigeria to pitch the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo against Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), such distasteful and repugant machinations will only be heading for the rock.
These great and illustrious Nigerians are impressively pillars of the ruling party having nurtured a long standing cordial relationships for decades, their association will only continue to wax stronger. Without sounding immodest, Osinbajo accords lots of regards to Tinubu, and will not for any reason engage in any plot that is capable of derailing the legitimate agenda to see Asiwaju as the next President of Nigeria in 2023, contrary to what some paid hatchet men are doing, who are shamelessly creating non-existing political rift between these two Yoruba heavyweights.
Yorubas need to be very circumspect as this is a very delicate time in politics as well as in the affairs of our nation, therefore every sons and daughters of Oduduwa owe each other a duty of being more united and cohesive at a time like this, so that the opportunity at our hands will not slip off.
Those who flatter their targets routinely or plan to use their usual ”Divide and Rule” tactics within us are out again to cause confusion and discord, therefore it is our responsibility to caution them or put them to where they rightly belong so as not to over heat the polity or give chance to avoidable tension.
It really appears so ridiculous seeing these despicable elements in their usual tactics bringing up ready made ‘tools’ among us to cause disaffection, peddle lies, deceptions and insincerity all for a price. These toadies will echo their sender’s words and hone their compliments, at times piling them on at others and praising the target more subtly. The stupider the target, the easier it is to lay it on, sadly so.
History is replete and can never be distorted about the fact that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the architect of contemporary Nigerian politics. This is without doubt an allusion to the role the latter played in the enthronement of the current APC led dispensation. Tinubu after surviving the onslaught of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to dislodge him from the Southwest in 2003, has since then continued his resurgence culminating in the 2015 victory of the APC after years in the national opposition.
Widely acknowledged as a leader of men, Tinubu has groomed a number of prominent political figures in politics, from the Minister of Works and former governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, to the current Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, to the current governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, to President Buhari’s aide, Babatunde Ojudu, the list goes on.
Therefore, the plot allegedly orchestrated to whittle down Tinubu’s hold on the party ahead of the 2023 election and to subsequently succeed President Muhammadu Buhari is an effort in futility.
Those who are working against Asiwaju’s political success and purportedly bringing Osinbajo to the fray are not only insane and unreasonable, but also playing God and honestly insulting the generality of Asiwaju’s followers and supporters, the good news is that their day of reckoning is apparently near.
I strongly detest sycophancy, this cringing subservient attitude is described by many as fawning obsequiousness, which is meant to divert attention from the pulse of the people. For the umpteenth time I make bold to say Asiwaju is the best man for the job, more qualified, competent and better prepared to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023. May God bless Nigeria.
