RERONIG North-Central Zone Holds Advocacy, Sensitization Programme Saturday

The Reproduction Rights Society of Nigeria (REPRONIG), will on Saturday, 3rd October, hold one-day zonal advocacy and sensitization programme in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The sensitization programme, according to a statement by the North-Central Coordinator of the Society, Professor Olu Obafemi and Secretary, Professor Femi Ademiluyi, the one day sensitization programme will come up at Ojaja University, Eyenkorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, at 10:00 a.m.

According to the statement, the North Central Zone comprises Abuja, Kwara, Nasarawa, Kogi, Plateau, Benue, and Niger states.

The theme of the programme, the professors said, is: “The Nigerian Copyright Law and the Role of REPRONIG.”

The programme, they said, would provide practical awareness on copyright law, responsible use of intellectual works, and the role of REPRONIG in protecting authors and other Rights holders.

Expected at the sensitization programme are writers, artists, content creators, publishers, librarians, creative professionals, musicians, and all those whose works are creative-oriented.

REPRONIG is an agency that consists of academic authors and all those whose works are creative-oriented. Its main objective is to protect the rights of the authors, artists, musicians, creative artists from being pirated or abused in any form.
