Osun 2026: APC Vows To Unseat Adeleke, Inaugurates Campaign Council
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has vowed to unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15, 2026 governorship election, expressing confidence of victory at the polls.
The Director-General of the APC Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, made the declaration on Wednesday during the inauguration of the party’s campaign council in Osogbo.
Oke affirmed that the APC was fully prepared to take over the state, insisting that the current administration would be voted out.
“This incumbent government is gone, their days are numbered in office. I don’t have fear in my mind that we will win this election. We are experts in removing a sitting governor. We will remove Adeleke before 10pm on 15th August, 2026. Our candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge,” he said.
He accused the Adeleke administration of incompetence and mismanagement of state resources, alleging that funds accrued in the last three and a half years had been misused.
Oke, who represents Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, also claimed that the government had failed across key sectors, saying it had not met the expectations of residents.
Also speaking, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, who represents Osun East Senatorial District, alleged that the state government was supporting illegal mining activities through levies imposed on miners in some parts of the state, a development he said had worsened environmental degradation.
He further claimed that affected communities lacked adequate healthcare facilities, adding that the APC would restore accountability and improve governance if elected into office.
