–Warns Them To Resist From Being A Tool In the Hand Of Accord Party

A sociocultural group in Osun State, Omoluabi Ethos Monitoring Group, (OEMG) has warned those in Action Peoples Party that instituted a suit against the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Oyebamiji regarding credentials submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, to desist from being a ready tool in the hands of the ruling Accord Party.

The group said those currently hiding in the Accord Party in Osun are known for using people to achieve mischievous ends, and dumping them thereafter.

The OEMG said the recent court case filed by the APP challenging Oyebamiji’s eligibility to contest in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun, was an indication that the Accord Party was afraid of an impending defeat.

The “APP’s reason, according to the case filed at the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, was that Oyebamiji submitted a fake certificates to INEC,” the statement partly read.

But reacting further to the suit, the group, through its National Coordinator, Alhaji Olawanle Aderemi, called on the national leadership of APP to monitor activities in the Osun chapter, noting that those in charge of the party in the state often made themselves available, running errand of shame for the ruling party.

Aderemi queried why APP is using paracetamol for what should have been INEC’s headache.

“We as a group felt embarrassed seeing the court paper. In this era, it’s disheartening we could still find a political party that will not mind its business, but is showing public bias in favour of another party.

“Whose interest is the APP representing through that court case? In the final names of the contestants published by INEC recently, Oyebamiji submitted his WAEC and HND certificates. Where did they see the PhD-in-view in that record?

“Aside that, In Nigeria, you may be considered for professional masters with HND if you have extensive work experience ( including being a Fellow of a recognised professional institute), so why can’t they approach the management of Obafemi Awolowo University if they are pained that Oyebamiji enrolled for their PhD?

“Instead of APP to continually exhibit crass knowledge on the street, why cant they seek for adequate information from knowledgeable people?

“This is a one-man party that always rents crowd whenever they want to do the bidding of those in government. There has been nothing to show for their blind loyalty to the state government since they have been making themselves available for use, mostly for ignominious reasons.

“We will patiently wait for the day the court will disgrace them, to remind the one man party of this message. We are very sure that soonest their present ‘master’ will dump them for another political party they will lure at an unrealistic and dark political path, that will lead to destruction. That is their trademark.”
