Business Mogul, Ayodeji Olaniyi Joins Race For Ifelodun State Constituency Seat
A prominent businessman and philanthropist with extensive interests across Southwest Nigeria, Mr. Ayodeji David Olaniyi has officially announced his candidacy for the Ifelodun State Constituency seat in the Osun State House of Assembly.
Running under the platform of the Accord Party, Mr. Olaniyi’s declaration marks a significant entry into the race for the Ifelodun Local Government Area representation.
As the political landscape in Ikirun shifts toward the upcoming elections, Olaniyi’s candidacy is being viewed as a blend of youthful energy and a commitment to the continued progress of the state under the current administration.
Addressing supporters and stakeholders in Ikirun, the aspirant, articulated a vision centred on “responsive and result-oriented representation.”
He noted that his decision to contest was born out of a deep-seated desire to bridge the gap between private success and public service.
With a proven track record in the corporate sectors of Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, and Ibadan, and a current strategic expansion of his businesses into Osun State, Olaniyi emphasised that his professional experience would be an asset in driving legislative reforms that favour economic growth and youth empowerment.
During his declaration, Olaniyi took the opportunity to express his profound admiration for the executive leadership of Osun State.
He stressed the “Imole” agenda of Governor Ademola Adeleke as a transformative force in the state, noting that his own legislative goals are closely aligned with the Governor’s grassroots developmental strides.
Although contesting under the Accord Party, Olaniyi described himself as a partner in the Governor’s mission to deliver the dividends of democracy to every corner of Osun, particularly in Ifelodun.
The philanthropist, who has long been involved in community development projects, stated that the time has come to scale up his impact through policy-making.
He maintained that a seat in the House of Assembly would allow him to provide the necessary legislative framework to complement the Governor’s efforts in infrastructure and social welfare.
