Governorship Poll: NASFAT Urges Peace, Seeks Divine Intervention For Osun
The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has organised a special prayer session for peace, unity and a hitch-free governorship election ahead of the August 15, 2026, governorship poll in Osun State.
The prayer session, attended by NASFAT members and other stakeholders in the state focused on seeking divine intervention for a peaceful electoral process before, during and after the election.
During the prayer session at NASFAT Asiwaju Khamis Olatunde Badmus Central Mosque, Dagbolu, Osogbo, the congregation sought Allah’s protection over all residents of the state.
The NASFAT Zonal Missioner, Dagbolu branch, Dr Kamorudeen Kehinde Busari said it becomes necessary to organize the prayers given the recent spate of violence in many parts of the state.
The Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), who was represented by Alhaji Badru Kazeem Akolawole commended NASFAT for organizing the prayer as he expressed optimism that with his endorsement by major stakeholders in the state, he would be declared the winner of the election.
The Guest Speaker, Imam Lukmam Adebayo Adewale appealed to people of Osun State, particularly the politicians to shun violence and promote peace.
The NASFAT Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Isa Gbadebo called also cautioned again violence and embrace peace in Osun State in the election period.
