Prof Olagoke Felicitates Oba Ladoja On 82nd Birthday, First Year Anniversary On Throne

The Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen-in-Islam Worldwide and Arole Ogunelu Mogaji Aare Alasa Dynasty in Ibadanland, Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, JP, has felicitated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on his 82nd birthday and one year anniversary on the throne of his forebears

In a congratulatory message personally signed by him on Friday, and made available to newsmen by his media aide, Bode Akinbode, Prof. Olagoke said the ascension of Oba Ladoja on September 26, 2025, marked a new dawn for Ibadanland, noting that the monarch has redefined traditional leadership in just one year.

According to the Islamic cleric, Oba Ladoja has proven that royalty is not just about the crown, but about service to the people.

Prof. Olagoke listed some of the achievements of the 44th Olubadan in the last one year to include developmental facilitation, peace and security, as well as economic and youth development.

He noted that the monarch’s statesmanship facilitated the over N296 billion reconstruction and dualisation of the strategic Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode Road and the approval for the long-awaited channelisation of Kudeti River through the Ecological Fund Office.

On security, he commended the Olubadan for promoting peace and unity, discouraging the excesses of ‘Omo Onile’, and inaugurating the Ibadan Community Guards to complement conventional security agencies across the 11 Local Governments of Ibadanland.

The Shafaudeen leader also lauded Oba Ladoja for his focus on economic revitalisation, youth empowerment and creation of an enabling environment for investors.

Prof. Olagoke, however, advised Oba Ladoja to continue to deploy his wealth of experience as a former Senator, Governor and elder statesman to strengthen unity among the Olubadan-in-Council, Mogajis, Baales and all traditional stakeholders.

He further urged Kabiyesi to remain father to all politicians as the 2027 general elections approach, by urging youths to shun political violence and thuggery, and to champion quality education and moral rebirth for youths in Ibadanland.

He prayed Almighty Allah to grant the Olubadan long life in sound health, more wisdom and renewed strength for a peaceful and prosperous reign over Ibadanland.
