Osun 2026: APC Inaugurates 14,000 Canvassers In Ife Federal Constituency

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congres(APC), Asiwaju Bola Munirudeen Oyebamiji (AMBO) has said Governor Ademola Adeleke’s denial of access to the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, is a clear indication that President Bola Tinubu have rejected Accord Party ahead of ahead 2026 Osun State governorship election in the state.

Oyebamiji speaking on Tuesday at the inauguration of 14,000 canvassers in Ife Federal Constituency, noted that the incumbent governor lack the support base required to win the forthcoming election.

He alleged that Accord Party has resorted to lies of getting President Bola Tinubu’s endorsement for his reelection bid.

According to him, “the ruling party is spreading claim that President Tinubu will back them, this is a lie, how would you abandon your child and decorate someone else’s child. They are lying, since they have been in government, they are stranded at the gate of Aso Rock, they were rejected there on several occasions. They were even denied from joining our party since they know they will sink in 2026.

“President Tinubu has adopted me and constantly, he has been engaging with me on how to win the poll. It is laughable that Adeleke want to join our performing President after working against him in 2023 and showing hatred for him.”

Also, he condemned the spate of political killings Osun State, urging the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan to investigate violence to give electorate confidence ahead of poll.

Addressing the canvassers, he said “Let me tell you, no one can intimidate you, go to nooks and crannies of this federal constituency to win more support for our party. If anyone threatens you, law will catch up with them, I can assure you. We are going to vote and win Osun State.”

A member of House of Representative, Ife Federal Constituency, Taofeek Ajilesoro, the inauguration of canvassers in his constituency, it has shown that Ile-Ife is the strong base for APC and would record landslide victory at the guber poll.

Also, Senator Jide Omoworare declared that APC would not discount anybody’s vote but he party is too strong for little supporters of erstwhile National Secretary of APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore to spell doom for the party’s victory in August 15th 2026.

Similarly, Prince Dotun Babayemi held that the people of Osun State want a change of government from the wide acceptability of the APC gubernatorial candidate, AMBO.

“The incumbent governor feels threatened by the quality of our candidate, hence they resort to violence and intimidation of our members, but that will never work on us, I can assure you.”
