Man Remanded Over Petrol Pump Theft In Osun

A 22- year- old man, Samuel Daniel, has been ordered to be remanded at the Ilesha Correctional Centre, for an alleged theft of petrol pump with meter reading, property of one Ayoola Ayodele.
According to the police prosecutor, A.S.P Matins Adebayo, the defendant allegedly committed the offence on January 16th, 2026, at unique rock petrol station, Muslim area,Sabo market irojo, Ilesha.
The Prosecutor, told the court that the defendant attempted to steal petrol pump with meter reading value about fifteen million Naira (N15,000,000), around 2:30am in the morning but was caught by the security man on duty.
The offence, according to the prosecutor,is contrary to and punishable under section 509 of the Criminal code cap 34 vol.ll laws of Osun state of Nigeria, 2002.
The defendant, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge levelled against him.
In her ruling, Magistrate A.O Odeleye, ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Ilesha Correctional Centre.
Therefore, she adjourned the case till February 11, 2026 for trial
