Osun Council Boss, Oyelami Greets Muslims, Christians As Ramadan, Lent Begin
The Executive Chairman, Isokan South LCDA, Ikoyi, Hon Wasiu Oyetunji Oyelami has extended warm greetings to all Muslim and Christian faithful as they observe the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent.
According to the Council Chairman, these two holy periods, though observed by different faiths, share common values of fasting, prayer, sacrifice, reflection, and compassion.
The Chairman in a statement issued and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo, Osun State capital, reminded the people the state and the entire Nigerians of the importance of self-discipline, love for their neighbors, generosity to the less privileged, and unwavering faith in God.
“As our Muslim brothers and Sisters observe Ramadan and our Christian brothers and Sisters journey through Lent, I urge all residents of Isokan South LCDA, Ikoyi, to use this season to promote peace, unity, tolerance, and mutual respect in our various communities. Let us continue to live together in harmony, regardless of religious differences, and work collectively for the progress and development of our community.
“Above all, let us all use this period of Holy Month to pray for free, fair, credible and crisis free election as the August 8th Governorship election is approaching while importantly, we should pray for Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) who is the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Candidate for him to emerge overwhelmingly and victoriously” Prince Oyelami stressed.
May the Almighty God accept our prayers and sacrifices, grant us good health, abundant blessings, and lasting peace in all nook and cranny of Ikoyi-Osun and its environment.
