Adeleke Celebrates Owa Obokun Adimula, Hails His Service To Osun

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, on his birthday.

In a congratulatory message issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke described the monarch’s journey to the throne as one marked by leadership, public service and commitment to the development of Osun State.

Adeleke recalled that before ascending the throne of his forefathers, Oba Haastrup had served as Deputy Governor to his elder brother, the late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, during his tenure as Governor of Osun State.

The Governor said the monarch’s experiences in government, business and philanthropy had helped shape his understanding of leadership and the aspirations of the people.

He said, “Long before he became Owa Obokun Adimula, His Imperial Majesty had established a record of service to Osun and its people. His years in government, enterprise and philanthropy speak to a life committed to building people and institutions.

“That experience remains valuable today as he leads Ijesaland, and we are grateful for his continued support for my administration’s development of our state.”

Adeleke described the monarch’s birthday as an opportunity to celebrate his contributions to the state and Ijesaland, while acknowledging his continued role in promoting the interests of his people.

He prayed for the continued good health, wisdom and longevity of the traditional ruler.

“On this occasion, I pray that Almighty God will preserve His Imperial Majesty in good health and grant him many more years of wisdom,” the Governor said.
