Giraffe Security Guards Nigeria Distances Founder, Alhaji Yah Salam From Partnership With Niger Delta Group On Political Endorsement
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Osun Vigilante and Grand Commander of Giraffe Security Guards Nigeria, Alhaji Ridwan Hussain, popularly known as Yah Salam, has dissociated himself and his security outfit from a recent statement credited to an alleged Executive Director of Operations, Commander Samuel Edafe Umufiedo.
In a disclaimer made available to journalists on Tuesday, Yah Salam clarified that Giraffe Security Guards Nigeria, a security outfit licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has no affiliation with the said Commander Samuel Edafe Umufiedo or the Niger Delta group mentioned in the earlier publication.
According to the statement, the residence and headquarters of the security outfit are located in the Yah Salam area of Ede, Osun State, stressing that the organisation operates independently under its recognized leadership structure.
The statement further emphasized that Alhaji Ridwan Hussain Yah Salam has no connection whatsoever with the individual who claimed to be the Executive Director of Operations of the outfit, noting that the publication linking the organisation to political comments and endorsements did not emanate from the official leadership of Giraffe Security Guards Nigeria.
He further clarified that he has no issues or disagreements with the administration or the mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stressing that he is neither opposed to nor engaged in any political dispute with the presidency, and that his attention remains fully on the professional conduct and operations of his security organisation.
He also reiterated that his sole concern is to correct what he described as a misleading narrative linking him to a partnership with an unknown group, insisting that he has no affiliation whatsoever with such individuals or claims, and urging the public to disregard any statement suggesting otherwise.
The management therefore urged members of the public to disregard the earlier report associating the security organisation with Commander Samuel Edafe Umufiedo and the alleged Niger Delta faction of the group.
