Aremo Celebrates Ex-Osun SSG Sola Akinwumi At 89

A House of Representatives aspirant for the Osogbo, Olorunda, Orolu and Irepodun Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Adegboyega Lateef Adelabu Aremo, has joined other well-wishers to celebrate the former Secretary to the Government of Osun State and Akinrogun of Ibadanland, Engr. Sola Akinwumi, on the occasion of his 89th birthday.
Speaking with journalists during a prayer session organised in honour of Engr. Akinwumi at his residence in Ilobu, Osun State, Aremo, who led members of his team to visit the celebrant, described the Chairman of Igbimo Agba Osun, the apex council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, as a political juggernaut and a core progressive leader.
Aremo, a former Special Adviser on Youth and Sports in Osun State, described the Ilobu-born technocrat and politician as a pillar of wisdom, experience, and steadfast commitment to the progress of Osun State and the APC.
According to him, Engr. Akinwumi remains an influential figure in politics, characterised by immense impact, authority, and success.
He further described the former SSG as one of the progressive-minded leaders who possess strong strategic skills and unwavering support for the growth and success of the party, as well as the development of Osun State and Nigeria at large.
“I celebrate your life and your impactful leadership in the political evolution of Osun State. You have contributed immensely to the foundation of purposeful governance and institutional development in the state,” Aremo said.
He added, “I pray that Almighty Allah grants Baba many more glorious years in sound health and peace of mind.
