The apex leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Modakeke, Chief Wahab Bolarinwa Adetunji, the Asalu of Modakeke, yesterday, distributed cash gifts and food palliatives to more than 3,000 party members as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and boost the party’s campaign ahead of the 15 August 2026 Osun State governorship election.

The well-attended programme drew APC leaders, elders, women, youths, ward executives and supporters from across Modakeke, who gathered in large numbers to reaffirm their commitment to the party and its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).

The atmosphere was marked by enthusiasm, unity and renewed determination as beneficiaries received the support, which many described as timely and impactful in the face of prevailing economic challenges.

Speaking during the event, Chief Adetunji said the initiative reflected his unwavering commitment to the welfare of APC members and his conviction that a strong, united and motivated grassroots remains the bedrock of electoral success.

He urged party members to remain steadfast, committed and focused on the collective objective of securing victory for the APC and its governorship candidate in the forthcoming election.

According to him, the election offers the people of Osun State another opportunity to enthrone purposeful leadership capable of delivering sustainable development and improved governance.

He also charged party faithful to intensify mobilisation efforts across all wards, polling units and communities, stressing that unity, hard work and dedication would be crucial to the party’s success at the polls.

The beneficiaries and other party stakeholders expressed appreciation to Chief Adetunji for what they described as a compassionate and consistent demonstration of leadership. They noted that his longstanding commitment to the welfare of party members had continued to strengthen the APC’s grassroots structure in Modakeke.

Several beneficiaries commended him for complementing political leadership with practical support, describing the intervention as another testament to his selfless service and enduring dedication to the party.

The event also highlighted the APC’s readiness for the August 15 governorship election, with party members expressing optimism that sustained mobilisation and unity would translate into electoral success.

Goke Adebowale, APC Chairman in Modakeke; members of the local party executive, ward chairmen, ward youth and women leaders, representatives from the 80 polling units in the community, and other party leaders.
