Oyebamiji’s Past Achievements In Public Offices Show He Can Govern Osun Well- Groups By Tosin Olasunkanmi, Osogbo The South West Support Group and Victory Support Foundation have said the past achievements of Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, in previous public offices distinguish him as a capable candidate for the 2026 governorship election in Osun State. The groups made the assertion during a free medical outreach organised at Ola community in Ejigbo Local Government Area of the state, where residents received free medical consultations, blood pressure checks, drugs and health counselling. Bola Oyebamiji is the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the August 15 gubernatorial election in Osun State. Speaking during the programme, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Victory Support Foundation, Olubunmi Oluwafumilayo Lawal, popularly known as BUMAC, described Oyebamiji as an experienced administrator with a clear understanding of governance and grassroots development. According to her, his performances in previous public offices have shown that he possesses the capacity to move Osun State forward. “My message to the people of Osun State is that they should vote wisely and support the right candidate. Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji is the right man for the job,” she said. Lawal explained that the medical outreach was organised to support rural dwellers who often struggle to access healthcare because of poverty and transportation costs. “As they always say, health is wealth. Without sound health, nobody can achieve anything meaningful. Even farmers cannot go to their farms if they are not physically fit,” she said. She added that many beneficiaries who attended the outreach complained of body weakness, fatigue and poor nutrition, stressing that the intervention also focused on health education and proper drug usage. “We discovered that many people are not eating balanced diets and some are suffering because they cannot even afford basic healthcare. Apart from giving them drugs, we also encouraged and prayed for them,” she added. Lawal further appreciated the South West Support Group for financing and supporting the outreach across communities in the state. Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Government, Gbolahan Muyiwa Ayegbayo, commended the organisers for taking healthcare services directly to residents at the grassroots. “These are the initiatives our people cherish most because healthcare is being taken to their doorsteps. The first outing was successful and this second one is also successful,” he said. Ayegbayo also expressed confidence in the chances of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship election, saying residents of Ejigbo would support Oyebamiji because of his administrative experience and leadership qualities. Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo South LCDA, Yusuf Bashir Akintegbe, described the outreach as beneficial to rural dwellers, saying it provided residents with the opportunity to know their health status. “We are fortunate to have a responsible and experienced candidate in Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji. He has the administrative and political experience needed to move Osun forward,” he said. Traditional rulers at the programme, including Oba Gbadamosi Safiu, Onisanko of Isanko,Oba Mathew Ajala Olaleke, Alaye of Aye- Odan, Oba Samuel Akintoyese, Amusan 1, oniwata of Iwata, commended the organisers for the intervention, describing it as timely and beneficial to residents of the communities. Ward 6 Youth Leader in Ejigbo Local Government, Julius Oyelami, and Ward 6A representative, Abbas Kazeem Ademuyiwa, also urged residents to participate actively in the forthcoming governorship election.
