ADC Protests INEC’s Derecognition
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Wednesday, embarked on a protest against the derecognition of its leadership by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The protest, which began from Maitama Roundabout to the headquarters of the INEC, is led by the ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark.
Other leaders of the party, like former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, his New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) counterpart, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, among others, also joined the protest.
ADC National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, in a post on X, said the protest is against the injustice and high-handedness of the party towards the party.
ADC Youth Wing had on Monday, threatened to occupy INEC offices nationwide if the commission fails to restore Senator Mark-led leadership on its portal within 72 hours.
