2027: Shettima Submits Tinubu’s Presidential Nomination Forms To APC
Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday submitted the nomination and expression of interest forms for President Bola Tinubu, seeking a further four-year term under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The forms were submitted at the Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, where the Vice President was received by a diverse group of APC leaders, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, governors, and other party stalwarts.
Earlier, James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, had collected the APC nomination and expression of interest forms on behalf of President Tinubu as part of preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
The nomination and expression of interest forms, valued at ₦100 million, were presented to him by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu. Political observers viewed this as an early indication of Tinubu’s re-election campaign and a show of support from loyalists within the party structure.
