2027: D’Banj Donates Three Sienna Buses To Osun Accord Reps Candidate, Olajengbesi

Nigerian music star, Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna buses to the Accord Party candidate for Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency, Pelumi Olajengbesi, ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.

D’Banj presented the vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Thursday, with the politician announcing the development in a Facebook post on Friday.

Olajengbesi said the donation came as a surprise, explaining that D’Banj had contacted him about two weeks earlier to obtain the contact details of the person handling his campaign branding.

According to him, the singer initially indicated that he needed the contact for the branding of a vehicle for his CREAM project, an initiative focused on supporting young creatives.

However, Olajengbesi said he was surprised when he subsequently received three fully branded Sienna buses from the music star.

He quoted D’Banj as describing the donation simply as “my token of support.”

Expressing appreciation for the gesture, Olajengbesi said the donation represented a significant show of support for his political ambition.

“I do not take this for granted. This is love. This is huge support. Thank you for standing with me and for believing in this journey,” he said.

The development comes weeks after another Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, endorsed Olajengbesi’s bid to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Olajengbesi served as the spokesperson for the campaign for the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

He is also the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State.
