Babalola hails Adeleke’s infrastructural drive in Ife South, urges support for 2026 re-election

A frontline aspirant for the Ife Federal Constituency, Hon. Babatomiwa Babalola, popularly known as Alatunse, has commended the Osun State Governor, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, for what he described as significant infrastructural development in Ife South Local Government Area, particularly in the area of road construction and rehabilitation.

Hon. Babalola said the ongoing transformation of road networks across the local government reflects the Adeleke administration’s commitment to grassroots development and the welfare of residents.

He noted that improved road infrastructure has enhanced economic activities, strengthened security, eased access to education and healthcare, and promoted overall community development.

Highlighting specific projects executed under the current administration, Babalola listed the construction of the Oritamerin–Ayesan–Chief Omopo–Jagilegbo Road in Ifetedo, the rehabilitation of St Patrick’s RCM School Road in Ifetedo, and the reconstruction of the Ife–Ondo Road linking Erefe Junction, Molodo Village and Isoya Village.

Other projects, he said, included the development of RCM Road One in Alafia, Ifetedo, the upgrade of the Osun State University Road at the Ifetedo campus, and the strategic 58-kilometre Agoda–Olode–Tangbori–Ogbaagba Road, which has significantly improved inter-community connectivity and commercial activities.

According to him, the projects go beyond physical infrastructure, representing fulfilled campaign promises and a clear example of responsive governance.

He added that both rural and urban communities in Ife South have benefitted from what he described as the dividends of democracy under the present administration.

“As residents of Ife South continue to witness these unprecedented developments, it becomes clear that continuity is necessary to sustain the progress recorded so far.”

“Governor Adeleke has demonstrated capacity, compassion and commitment to the development of Osun State,” Babalola said.

He, therefore, called on residents of Ife South and the wider Osun State to support Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid in the 2026 gubernatorial election, arguing that continuity would ensure the completion and consolidation of ongoing projects while opening up further opportunities for growth and development.

Babalola stressed that sustained support for the governor would help secure a more prosperous future for the state, adding that the path to development had been clearly outlined by the current administration.
