Honourable Otunba Niyi Adekola, Founder of the ONA Foundation and aspirant for the Atisbo/Saki West/Saki East House of Representatives seat, has extended warm New Year greetings to Nigerians, particularly the people of Oyo State and constituents of the Constituency.
In a New Year message made available to journalists, Adekola described the season as a period of renewal and reflection, calling on citizens to recommit themselves to unity, compassion and collective responsibility as the nation enters a new chapter.
“The New Year is a time of renewal, reflection and collective responsibility. It is an opportunity for us to embrace hope, strengthen our unity and show compassion to one another as we work towards a better Nigeria,” he said.
Reflecting on the state of the nation, the philanthropist and politician acknowledged the prevailing economic and social challenges but expressed confidence in the resilience of Nigerians to overcome them.
“Despite the economic and social challenges confronting our country, Nigerians have continued to demonstrate remarkable resilience. With shared commitment, peaceful coexistence and purposeful leadership, we are capable of building a better and more prosperous future for all,” Adekola stated.
He noted that the New Year offers another chance to deepen communal ties and advance inclusive development, stressing that sustainable progress can only be achieved when no segment of society is left behind.
Reaffirming his aspiration to represent Atisbo/Saki West/Saki East at the National Assembly, Adekola said his ambition is anchored on service and genuine concern for the welfare of the people.
“My aspiration for the House of Representatives is driven by a sincere desire to serve, uplift our communities and champion people-oriented policies that will directly improve the lives of our constituents,” he said.
He also highlighted the humanitarian interventions of the ONA Foundation, describing it as a vehicle for consistent community development and social support.
“Through the ONA Foundation, humanitarian service and community development have remained a core priority, and this commitment will continue,” he added.
Addressing the youth, Adekola urged them to remain focused and constructive in their pursuits.
“Our young people must channel their energy into capacity building, innovation and positive engagement that adds real value to society,” he advised.
He further called on leaders and stakeholders across Oyo State to support initiatives that foster peace, unity and sustainable development.
Chief Adekola wished Nigerians a prosperous New Year filled with good health, renewed hope and abundant opportunities, urging citizens to remain steadfast in the collective effort to build a stronger, more inclusive and progressive society.
