Osun APC Names Oyebamiji Campaign DG, Constitutes 110-Member Committee, 58-Member Elders’ Council
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has appointed its 2026 governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, as Director-General of its 2027 Presidential and Parliamentary Campaign Committee.
The appointment is part of efforts by the party to strengthen its political structure and mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and APC candidates contesting the 2027 National and State Assembly elections.
The Osun APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, announced the appointments in a statement confirming the constitution of a 110-member campaign committee and a 58-member Elders’ Council.
Lawal explained that the development followed the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council by President Tinubu in Abuja on October 14, 2026, as well as the inauguration of the Osun State Presidential Campaign Council by Governor Ademola Adeleke on October 22.
According to him, the committees were constituted to strengthen the party’s mobilisation capacity and ensure effective coordination of its activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said the party carefully selected experienced leaders and stakeholders from different parts of the state to drive its campaign activities.
“We consider it extremely important to bolster the efforts of the Presidential Campaign Council to deliver massive votes for the re-election of our President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the forthcoming general elections,” Lawal said.
Under the arrangement, Lawal himself was appointed Deputy Director-General, while Engineer Benjamin Adereti and Hon. Kehinde Olamolu were named Assistant Directors-General I and II, respectively.
Other prominent members of the campaign committee include former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye; Prince Adebayo Adeleke; Alhaji Kamorudeen Alao; Prince Dotun Babayemi; and Hon. Ayo Omidiran.
The three APC senatorial candidates in Osun State, Adenigba Fadahunsi, Akin Ogunbiyi and Kunle Adegoke, representing Osun East, West and Central Senatorial Districts, respectively, were also named members.
The 110-member committee further includes Oluwole Oke, Sanya Ominrin, Taiwo Oluga, David Asaolu, Segun Awotunde, Bayo Oyekanmi, Yinka Ajayi, Oladele Adepoju, Tunde Olororo, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, Nike Omoworare and Bosun Oyintiloye, among others.
Similarly, the party constituted a 58-member Elders’ Council comprising influential political figures and stakeholders expected to provide guidance and strategic support for the campaign.
Members of the council include Chief Foluke Etteh, Bola Oyebamiji, Sooko Adeleke Adewoyin, Otunba Iyiola Omisore, Chief Titilayo Laoye-Ponle and former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Alabi.
Others are Engineer Benjamin Adereti, former Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole; Ambassador Femi Fani-Kayode; General Alani Akinrinade; Senator Sola Adeyeye; Senator Babajide Omoworare; and Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi.
The APC chairman said the party would work in collaboration with members of the existing Osun State Presidential Campaign Council to achieve its electoral objectives.
He stressed that the party remained committed to securing victory for President Tinubu and all its candidates in the National and State Assembly elections.
“As a party, we are resolute to work in unison with every member of the State Presidential Campaign Council to deliver on our mandate as we muster concerted efforts to ensure victory for all the National and State Assemblies candidates of our great party,” Lawal added.
