Nigerian Army Debunks Fake 92 Regular Recruitment Intake Application

The Nigerian Army has debunked reports circulating on social media claiming that applications for the 92 Regular Recruitment Intake have commenced.

The Army, in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, described the publication as fake and urged members of the public to disregard it.

The statement, signed by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Directorate of Army Recruitment, Captain A. U. Hammanga, and circulated through the Nigerian Army’s official social media platforms, said the recruitment exercise had not commenced.

According to the Army, members of the public would be duly informed through its official communication channels once the recruitment portal for the 92 Regular Recruitment Intake is formally opened.

“The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a fake publication circulating on social media which claims that application for 92 Regular Recruitment Intake has commenced,” the statement said.

The Army therefore advised prospective applicants and the general public to ignore the publication, stressing that it has established official procedures for announcing recruitment exercises.

“The general public is advised to note that the publication is false and should be disregarded in its entirety.

“The Nigerian Army maintains a clear and official procedure for announcing recruitment exercises and related activities and will duly inform the public through its official channels once the portal for 92 Regular Recruitment Intake is formally opened,” it added.

The Army further reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and professionalism in its recruitment processes, while warning members of the public to be wary of fraudsters who might seek to exploit the fake announcement.

“The NA remains committed to transparency and professionalism in all recruitment processes and strongly cautions the public against falling prey to fraudsters,” the statement concluded.
