Ibirogba Adesewa Emerges Ogun NYC Chairman

Princess Ibirogba Adesewa has been appointed as the acting Chairman, Nigeria Youth Congress (NYC), Ogun State Chapter.

Adesewa, emerged acting Chairman to succeed Comrade Seyifunmi Afolabi who had served the youth group meritoriously.

In her acceptance speech, Adesewa expressed her heartfelt appreciation to her predecessor for his outstanding leadership, promising to build on his good legacy.

Pledging to work in collaboration with stakeholders, youth groups, and community leaders, NYC Chairman also vowed to ensure transparency and accountability.

“With profound humility and a deep sense of responsibility, I, Princess Ibirogba Adesewa, sincerely accept my appointment as the Acting Chairman of the Nigeria Youth Congress (NYC), Ogun State Chapter.

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Comrade Seyifunmi Afolabi, the immediate past Chairman, for his outstanding leadership and for believing in my capacity to serve in this crucial role during this transition period.

“As a proud daughter of the State and a committed youth advocate, I am fully aware of the weight this responsibility carries and the great expectations that come with it.

“Having journeyed through the ranks of student leadership from my days in the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and National Association of Nigerian Student(NANS), I have come to understand that true leadership is about service, sacrifice, and sincerity of purpose.

“I pledge to work collaboratively with all important stakeholders, youth groups, and community leaders across the three senatorial districts of our dear state to consolidate the gains made and chart a path of progress and unity for the youth of Ogun State.

“In this capacity, I assure you of my unwavering commitment to transparency, inclusiveness, and youth empowerment. Together, we will uphold the ideals of the Nigeria Youth Congress and ensure that no young voice is left unheard.

“I call on all members of the Congress, our vibrant youth constituency, and partners in development to join hands with me as we collectively drive positive change.

Meanwhile, Comr Abdulfatai A Legacy,
Director of Media and Publicity, Southwest Caucus Forum, Nigerian Youth Congress expressed confidence in the capacity of the new chairman.

Welcoming her to a programme, Legacy said: “Your presence among us is a testament to your dedication to the ideals of our great organization. We are confident that your leadership acumen and expertise will not only add value to our deliberations but also enhance the beauty and vibrancy that our Congress embodies.

“As we gather to chart the course for our collective progress, we look forward to tapping into your wealth of experience and insights. Your contributions will undoubtedly enrich our discussions and inform our decisions.

“Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.” We believe that your influence will be felt positively among our ranks.
