Osun Workers’ Welfare My Priority – Adeleke
Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun State says the welfare of workers in the state remains his top priority.
Adeleke made this statement while addressing workers at a welcome-back rally organised in his honor at Government Secretariat on Thursday in Abere, Osun.
The governor said one of his campaign promises was to prioritise workers’ welfare, which he said he had started.
“For this show of love, I can tell you that you haven’t seen anything yet. I am your governor, and I will make your welfare a priority”, he said.
Adeleke also announced that he would soon unveil the “Imole Soft Loan” scheme for workers.
In his remarks, the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Chairman in the state, Dr Nathaniel Ogungbami, said the rally was to honor the governor after his short vacation.
Ogungbami added that the workers would continue to support the governor due to his worker-friendly policies.
Also, the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the state, Abiola Fasai, said that the workers would continue to support the governor.
Fasai noted that the governor was prioritising workers’ welfare and they would reciprocate the gesture during the Osun governorship election.
