Osun NUJ Election: Credentials Committee Inaugurated

Ahead of the 2026 Triennial Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Osun State Council,a three-man Credentials Committee has been inaugurated at the monthly Congress of the union held at the NUJ Press Centre, Osogbo on Wednesday, November 26th,2025.

The Credentials Committee is headed by a reporter with the News Agency of Nigeria NAN, Mr Victor Adeoti.

He will be joined in the task by Mr. Kamil Raheem of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation and Mr.Wasiu Babalola of the State Ministry of Information.

Inaugurating the Credentials Committee, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Osun State Council, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu charged them to organise and conduct an election that will be generally acceptable to members of the union in Osun State.

He enjoins members of the committee to conduct the election in line with the Constitution of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and be an unbiased umpire.

The core mandate of the Credentials Committee is to conduct an election that will usher in a new State Working Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Osun State Council by February 2026.

The inauguration, according to a statement signed by the council Secretary, Adeyemi Aboderin, was witnessed by a large number of members of the union who he said, turned out for the monthly congress.
