Professor Tella Adeniran Rahmon Reappointed as Resident Electoral Commissioner
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reappointed Professor Tella Adeniran Rahmon, the immediate past Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Oyo State, to continue his stewardship in the state.
His reappointment reflects the Commission’s recognition of his exceptional leadership, integrity, and outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s electoral process.
Professor Tella, a distinguished scholar and administrator, currently serves as Professor of Strategic Management and Public Policy in the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Arts, Social and Management Sciences, Atiba University, Oyo State.
He was recently appointed Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences at the same institution—a testament to his academic excellence and administrative competence.
During his first tenure as Resident Electoral Commissioner in Oyo State, Professor Tella displayed exemplary professionalism in electoral management. Under his leadership, the state successfully conducted the Ekiti off-cycle gubernatorial election and the 2023 general elections, events widely commended for their credibility and efficiency.
His deployment as Supporting REC to several other states further underscores his versatility and the confidence reposed in him by the Commission.
Beyond his electoral service, Professor Tella has distinguished himself as a global academic and thought leader. He recently completed a certificate course in Strategic Execution at Harvard Business School and served as a Visiting Scholar in the Business Analytics and Information Systems Department at Xavier University, Cincinnati, USA.
He also participated in an election observation mission in Maryland, USA, reflecting his growing international footprint in governance and democracy studies.
Professor Tella has presented scholarly papers and participated in conferences across leading global academic centers, including the University of Oxford (UK), Hong Kong, Toronto (Canada), and Quebec City (Canada). His recent works include:
