Gov Uzodimma Sacks Imo Attorney General
Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State, has abruptly relieved Barrister Cyprian Akaolisa of his duties as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, effective immediately.
Chief Declan Emelumba, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, announced the governor’s decision on Monday afternoon without offering an explanation.
Barrister Akaolisa has been instructed to surrender all government assets in his custody to the State Solicitor General and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice without delay.
“The Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, has ordered the immediate removal of Barr. C. O. C. Akaolisa from the office of Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice,” the official directive stated. “He is to hand over all government property under his care to the State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice forthwith.”

“The erstwhile commissioner has been directed to hand over all government property under his care to the State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Justice, immediately,” the directive read.
