Fadojoe Calls for Peace and Harmony in Christmas Message
By Our Reporter
A former Labour Party presidential aspirant and Leader of the Rescue Movement for a New Nigeria, also known as the Rescue the Vulnerable Initiative, Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, popularly called Fadojoe, has called on Christians and adherents of other faiths to imbibe the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ as the world celebrates His birth.
In a Christmas goodwill message made available to journalists, the US-based practising nurse described Jesus as the Prince of Peace, noting that His birth should inspire an atmosphere of peace, love and harmony across all divides, including nationality, ethnicity and religion.
According to him, the Christmas season should serve as a reminder that the Prince of Peace would be most pleased when people choose harmonious living and promote peaceful coexistence in their communities.
Fadojoe also offered prayers for Nigeria, expressing hope that the Prince of Peace would intervene in the nation’s challenges, particularly insecurity, and usher in lasting peace for all Nigerians.
He stressed the need for continuous prayers for the country, noting that insecurity and hardship have affected citizens either directly or indirectly. He therefore called on Nigerians to show understanding, tolerance and unity.
The former presidential aspirant urged adherents of the two major religions in Nigeria to remember that they are Nigerians first, encouraging them to live together as brothers and sisters in peace and harmony, while resisting attempts by politicians to use religion or other differences to divide the country for selfish interests.
Fadojoe concluded by wishing Nigerians a joyful Christmas and a New Year filled with endless possibilities, praying that the spirit of Christmas would bring peace, harmony, happiness and abundant blessings to all.
