Presidency No Longer Cares About Nigerians’ Feelings – Aregbesola
The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has stated that the Federal Government no longer cares about the feelings and aspirations of ordinary Nigerians.
Aregbesola stated this on Thursday during the party’s tour to Irewole/Ayedade/Isokan Federal Constituency.
The former two-term governor of Osun State, while expressing concerns about the current state of governance in Nigeria, described the situation as troubling for national unity and democratic accountability.
According to him, “What Nigerians feel does not matter to the presidency anymore.”
The immediate past Minister of the Interior said there was a widening disconnect between Nigerian leaders and the electorate.
He lamented that many in government appear detached from the daily realities faced by citizens.
Aregbesola, who earlier led chieftains of the party to the palace of Akire of Ikire, Oba Olatunde Falabi , was warmly received by constituents and party loyalists.
He commended the ADC leadership in the state for its “unwavering trust and confidence” in his political direction, urging party members to be disciplined and have a purpose.
He urged them to embrace the values of self-control, courage, and determination, noting that these principles are essential for personal development and the collective progress of the party.
