Nigerian Arrested With N214m Drug In India
A Nigerian man, simply identified as Chukuwuma, has been arrested by Bengaluru’s Central Crime Branch for alleged drug peddling.
Chukuwuma was caught during a raid while trying to distribute narcotics in the Avalahalli area of northern Bengaluru, the Indian Today reported on Tuesday.
The Narcotics Wing of the CCB carried out a swift, well-planned operation and seized MDMA and crystal substances worth over ₹1.2 crore.
Early investigations revealed that Chukwuma has been dealing in drugs since 2013.
According to investigators, Chikuwuma has been in the drug business since 2013, importing narcotics from abroad and distributing them across Bengaluru, especially on the outskirts.
Italy-bound passenger arrested with drugs hidden in winter jackets
Police said he was linked to an international drug syndicate.
He had been under surveillance for weeks before his arrest.
Authorities are now working to uncover the full network and arrest others involved.
Chukuwuma is currently in custody and under interrogation.
