Preparations are in top gear for the highly anticipated 3-in-1 event celebrating the two-decade career of broadcaster and Nollywood actor, Otunba Ismail Adekunle Abolade, popularly known as Dodoede.

The event, scheduled for Sunday, February 16, 2025, in Osogbo, will also mark his birthday and serve as a ₦200 million fundraising platform for the production of his upcoming movie-cinema project, Amobi Eso.

A statement signed by Mukhtar Ajelogbon, Publicity Secretary of the Planning Committee, confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure a seamless and successful event.

He emphasized that security remains a top priority, with multiple agencies, including the Nigerian Army, DSS, Police, Amotekun, and private security firms, fully engaged to safeguard lives and property throughout the event.

Attendees have been advised to present their access cards at the entrance, as wearing the official Aso-Ebi (Ankara) alone will not guarantee entry.

The committee has also assured guests of adequate welfare provisions, including food and drinks, in a secure and organized atmosphere.

Dignitaries from within and outside Nigeria are expected to begin arriving in Osun State on Saturday, with professional vendors already in Osogbo handling various aspects of the event.

The red carpet session will commence at 11:00 AM under the chairmanship of Alhaji Aloba Issa Abdulateef, CEO of ACE Lubricants.

The event’s Chief Host will be Dr. Olayinka Joel Ayefele (MON), while His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama (CON), will serve as the Royal Father of the Day.

Other notable attendees include Senator (Dr) Lere Oyewumi, Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate; Asiwaju Munirdeen Bola Oyebanji, Managing Director/CEO of the National Inland Waterways Authority; Hon. Ibrahim Taofeek Kayode (ITK), CEO of Shekeenah Zelter Global Concept Ltd; and Otunba Seunfunmi Okeniran, CEO of Circle Construction Ltd.

The main event will commence at 12:00 noon at Adolak Event Hall, opposite the Old Governor’s Office, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

A major highlight of the celebration will be an unprecedented live performance by three renowned musical icons across Fuji, Gospel, and Islamic genres.

Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma (Oganla-Fuji) will headline the Fuji segment, while the gospel duo Taye and Kehinde Adegbodu will deliver their signature electrifying performance.

The Islamic music industry will be represented by the celebrated Alhaji Alayande Ere Asalatu, making the event a first-of-its-kind cultural and entertainment spectacle.

Dodoede, an Ikire-born media personality, began his broadcasting career in 2005 and has since anchored various radio and television programs across the Southwest, amassing a dedicated fan base in Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Lagos, Ogun, and Ekiti states.

The fundraising initiative tied to the event is expected to provide crucial support for his ambitious Amobi Eso movie project, further solidifying his influence in the entertainment industry.
