Kano Man To Die By Hanging For Stabbing Friend To Death

Justice Muhammad Musa Karaye of Kano High Court has sentenced one Adamu Isma’ila Arzai to death by hanging for stabbing his friend to death during altercation on their way to Bauchi.

Adamu had killed his friend, Auwai Shehu Kanata, sometimes in 2016, while they were on their way for a business in Bauchi state.

The ugly incident occurred during a fight over a cap.

During the scuffle, Adamu had stabbed Shehu severally, leading to his death.

During the trial at the Court, the prosecutor, Wahida Isma’il, called five witnesses to support the case.

Delivering judgment, Justice Karaye ruled that the prosecutor proved the case beyond reasonable doubt and sentenced Adamu to death by hanging.
