Osun Moving Backward In Health, Education — Victory Support Foundation Says, Offers Free Medical Care To Residents
By Tosin Olasunkanmi,.Osogbo
Founder of the Victory Support Foundation, Ambassador Olubunmi Oluwafunmilayo Lawal (Bumac), has raised concern over the declining state of healthcare and education in Osun, saying the situation demands urgent attention and conscious leadership choices from residents.
Lawal made this known during a Free Medical Outreach held in Erin-Osun, Irepodun Local Government Area, where hundreds of residents benefited from free medical tests, consultations, medications, and eyeglasses.
“Osun is currently moving backwards in terms of education, health and other sectors. My message to the people is to shine their eyes and vote right. The only person that we can say is competent and intelligent is Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), and that’s why we are supporting him,” she said.
The outreach, organised by the Victory Support Foundation in collaboration with the Southwest Progressive Group, featured free screening for hypertension, diabetes, and malaria, alongside eye examinations and free distribution of drugs and glasses to those in need.
Lawal, who expressed gratitude to God for the success of the exercise, said the initiative was designed to touch lives across Osun through accessible healthcare support.
“This is an innovation from God being implemented through my NGO. We thought it fit to support people through free medical care with the aim of uplifting them and wiping tears off their faces,” she added.
She revealed that over 800 people had registered for the outreach, with many more still trooping in to benefit from the free medical services.
Prophetess Adenike Adesanoye Kolawole, Deputy Women Leader of Ward 8, Erin-Osun, who also benefited from the outreach, commended the organisers for their commitment to improving the health of residents.

“We’ve received free medical consultations and medicines. I thank the organisers and pray that God continues to bless and guide them. I also encourage residents to support AMBO, who I believe will deliver great leadership when he becomes governor,” she said.
Similarly, Chief Adekunle Adewole, an executive member of Irepodun Local Government, lauded the organisers for reaching out to the community with quality drugs and medical care.
“Many people here are receiving free, expensive drugs. We appreciate the organisers and pray for their success. The beneficiaries should also take their medications as prescribed by the doctors,” he advised.
For Badmus Kamal Adebayo, another beneficiary, the outreach brought much-needed relief to residents who have struggled to afford medical treatment.
“We’ve been battling ailments but couldn’t afford proper care. Today, we’ve received drugs and glasses at no cost. We thank the organisers for this gesture and pray that AMBO succeeds in his 2026 governorship ambition,” he said.
The organisers said the outreach would continue across other local government areas in Osun to ensure more residents benefit from the free medical intervention.
