Olubadan-designate Ladoja To Teach At Alma Mater After Coronation
The Olubadan-designate of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has announced plans to visit his alma mater, Ibadan Boys’ High School, after his coronation as the 44th Olubadan.
Oba Ladoja disclosed this during a courtesy visit to his Bodija residence by the school’s principal, Dr. Rasheed Fasasi, and other members of staff.
He pledged not only to reconnect with the school community but also to take part in classroom sessions where he intends to teach Physics and Mathematics, subjects he once taught at the institution.
The monarch-in-waiting praised the school’s leadership under Dr. Fasasi, commending the management for maintaining its reputation as a model institution.
Dr. Fasasi, who is also a prince from the Aliiwo Royal Family of Ibadanland, described the forthcoming visit as a historic moment that would inspire students and strengthen ties between the incoming Olubadan and his roots.
He lauded Oba Ladoja’s record in governance, particularly his reforms in civil service and education during his tenure as governor of Oyo State, expressing confidence that Ibadan would experience significant growth under his reign.
The school principal congratulated the Olubadan-designate, wishing him a peaceful and impactful reign.
