Oba Ladoja To Visit Alma Mater After Coronation
The Olubadan-designate of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has pledged to pay a royal visit to his alma mater, Ibadan Boys’ High School, following his coronation as the 44th Olubadan.
Speaking at his Bodija residence in Ibadan while receiving a delegation from the school, led by the principal, Dr Rasheed Fasasi, Oba Ladoja expressed his commitment to reconnecting with the school community.
He promised not only to visit but also to engage students in a classroom session, teaching Physics and Mathematics.
In addition to being a distinguished alumnus, Oba Ladoja once served as a teacher at the school, where he taught both subjects.
The Olubadan-designate commended the school management for the courtesy visit and praised the leadership of Dr Fasasi, noting that his efforts have helped maintain the school’s reputation as a model institution.
Earlier, Dr Fasasi described the forthcoming visit as a significant moment that would inspire students and reconnect the incoming Olubadan with his roots.
He highlighted Oba Ladoja’s legacy in public service, particularly his contributions to civil service reform and education during his tenure as governor of Oyo State.
Dr Fasasi, himself a prince from the Aliiwo Royal Family of Ibadanland, expressed optimism that with Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience and track record, Ibadan would witness remarkable development during his reign.
He congratulated the Olubadan-designate and wished him a peaceful and impactful reign.
