BREAKING: Fubara Defects To APC Four Days After 17 Rivers Lawmakers Dump PDP
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Fubara announced this at a stakeholders meeting at the government house in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
The governor, on Monday evening (yesterday) visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu, amid growing speculation about a possible defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His defection came four days after the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, and 17 others dumped the PDP for the APC on December 5.
