Digital Skills Key To Inclusive Future For Nigerians, Says Remi Tinubu
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has called on citizens to work together to bridge the gap of digital exclusion, stressing that collective effort is vital to building an inclusive future.
In her message marking International Literacy Day 2025, observed globally on September 8, Mrs. Tinubu said this year’s theme, “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era,” highlights the need to equip youth, women, and vulnerable groups with the skills required to thrive in a technology-driven world.
“As a lifelong educationist, I believe a literate population is the foundation of boundless opportunities, and in today’s world, it must include digital skills,” she said.
She emphasized that literacy in the digital age goes beyond reading and writing, noting that collaboration is key to ensuring no Nigerian is left behind.
“When we as a people work together, we can close the gap of digital exclusion and open doors to a brighter, inclusive future for all Nigerians,” the First Lady declared.
Mrs. Tinubu congratulated Nigerians on International Literacy Day and reaffirmed her commitment to advancing educational initiatives that prepare citizens for opportunities in the digital economy.
