30th Anniversary: Over 15,000 People Have Embraced Islam – ACADIP
The Founder and President of Academy of Islamic Propagation, ACADIP, Mallam Yusuf Adepoju, on Wednesday, disclosed that no fewer than 15,000 reverts and returnees have embraced Islam globally.
Speaking at a press conference, heralding the activities marking the 30th anniversary of ACADIP, in Osogbo, Osun State, on Wednesday, Adepoju stressed that the Islamic group has made significant impact in consolidating Islamic beliefs.
According to him, “the Academy of Islamic Propagation ACADIP has grown in the past 30 years in leaps and bounds.It has thus made a significant impact on consolidating Muslims belief in Islam and led to a better understanding of other faiths.
“Notably, the group has recorded no fewer than 15,000 reverts and returnees to Islam globally and still counting. It is therefore not an understatement to conclude that ACADIP has steadily transformed, I’m Into a beacon of hope for millions of hopeless individuals and provided a safe haven or, better still, a sanctuary for numerous truth-seekers across the globe.”
Adepoju, while highlighting activities lined up to mark the 30th anniversary of the ACADIP, noted that the Islamic group will embark on humanitarian visitation to Hospitals, Orphanage Homes and Correctional centers across the country, noting that 51 prominent comparative scholars and preacher across will bag award of Excellence.
Meanwhile, the Vice President Administration of ACADIP, Barrister US Imam, has raised concerns about the rampant misuse of social media platforms, emphasizing the lack of proper regulations that has led to widespread abuse.
Imam highlighted the alarming trend of individuals using social media for defamation and character assassination, often crossing ethical and legal boundaries.
“On the issue of social media, we’re using social media unrestrictedly,
There is no regulation for social media and that is why it is being abused. By the time you listen and watch their videos we then understand this one has cross the line, this one has fall into defamation.
“And let me tell you that both Mallam and ACADIP as a body are being attacked as well but we have a way to protect ourselves and that is why it is not so much. We know the way to the court if you misbehave were taking you to the court we don’t go into fracas with anybody. Stop defaming us stop defaming Acadip.”
