Sack Underperforming Ministers, Service Chiefs – Northern Forum Tells Tinubu
An amalgamation of leaders from nineteen northern states in Nigeria has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently sack underperforming ministers and security chiefs.
The convener of the Northern Ethnic National Forum, NENF, Dominic Alancha, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
He said Tinubu should reshuffle his cabinet and security architecture because the nation faces a “multi-dimensional crisis” that requires decisive action.
According to the coalition, the current pace of governance is insufficient to address the challenges confronting Nigerians, particularly in the northern part of the country.
The forum said, “Many current ministers have demonstrated a great inability to translate policy into tangible results, connect with the grassroots, or build the political goodwill necessary to solidify the administration’s standing.”
“Immediately initiate a comprehensive dissolution and reshuffle of the Federal Executive Council.”
It added, “Daily, our communities are ravaged. Farmers are unable to access their fields, and our highways have become death traps,” explaining why the president should relieve the underperforming security chiefs.
