Dangote Warns Truck Operators Against Illegal Use Of Logo
Dangote Industries Limited has cautioned truck operators against the unauthorised use of its logo on vehicles, warning that offenders risk legal action.
The company said despite repeated warnings, some truck operators with no connection to Dangote continue to brand their vehicles with its logo, often for personal gain.
It expressed concern that such actions have brought embarrassment to the brand, with some of the vehicles involved in incidents wrongly linked to the company.
Dangote vowed to intensify monitoring in partnership with security agencies and law enforcement, stressing that decisive legal steps will be taken against violators.
“We have repeatedly cautioned truckers to refrain from using our logo on unauthorised vehicles. Moving forward, we will increase vigilance and take decisive legal action against misuse of our brand identity, particularly concerning vehicles unaffiliated with the Dangote Group,” the company stated.
The company also raised alarm over the spread of misinformation linking its trucks to road accidents, describing such claims as baseless.
It urged the public and media to verify information before circulating, warning against individuals exploiting tragedies to mislead the public or pursue financial gain.
