Why I Chose Acting Over Law – Femi Adebayo Opens Up
Popular Nollywood actor and producer, Femi Adebayo, has revealed why he dumped his law career for acting.
In a recent chat with Pulse Nigeria, Adebayo said the turning point came when he was offered N50,000 to appear in a movie for just three days — at a time when he was earning only N20,000 a month as a lawyer.
“Acting was just a hobby for me then,” he said. “But when I got that N50,000 gig, I told myself, ‘Femi, this is your calling.’”

That decision marked the beginning of his full-time acting journey, a path influenced heavily by his father, veteran Yoruba actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello.
Adebayo has since become one of Nollywood’s most respected stars, with several acclaimed movies and awards to his name.
