Muslim Group Harps On Rekindled faithfulness On The Occasion Of Id-el-Adha

Adherents of Islam in Nigeria have been charged to rekindle their faith and renew their trust in Allah-their Creator, which is the underlying significance of Id-el-Adha, to fast-track the return of the country on the path of greatness.
This is contained in the Eid message of the Companion -An association of Muslim men in business and professions, on the occasion of the 1446(2025) Id-el-Adha to Muslims in Nigeria and beyond.
“It is pertinent to harp on the need for Muslims in Nigeria to upgrade their level of piety since Allah only promises to change the conditions of those who demonstrate sincere repentance “, the release stressed.
The statement, signed by the National Amir Engr. Kamil Olalekan and the National Public Affairs Secretary Muideen Adeleke, reminded adherents of Islam to note the premium that Allah places on piety in the sacrifice of animals during the celebration of Id-el-Adha, as neither the meat nor the blood reaches God.
The Companion on the state of the nation, observed that although there are still challenges in the critical sectors, the manifestation of improvement in the security sector, energy as well as the economy is heartwarming.
“There’s no doubting the fact that despite the challenges the country has continued to face in the critical sectors, great indications point to the fact that the reform is yielding dividends gradually”, the association contended.
“It is however pertinent to state that while the Companion acknowledges the success so far recorded with the sustained military campaign against the insurgents, the renewed activities of the terrorists in the North East( Bornu State) among others, demands a change in security tactical approach”, the statement added.
The association noted with optimism, the Mid-Term Report of present administration, adding that with faithful and diligent execution of the on-going reforms and the support of Nigerians, the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will soon be fully realized.
The Muslim group congratulated the followers of Prophet Muhammad on the occasion of the 2025 Id-el-Adha and advised adherents of Islam in the country, to celebrate the festival with moderation, in line with the injunctions of Allah and the tacit approval of the Prophet.
The Companion however commiserated with the government and people of Niger State over the loss of lives and destruction of properties occasioned by the recent flooding including the collapse of Mokwa bridge in that State and also condoled with the government and people of Kano State over the tragic accident that claimed the lives of 22 athletes who were returning from the 2024 National Sports Festival which held recently in Ogun State.
” We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to the governments and people of Niger and Kano States, over the recent unsavory incidents in the two States, which claimed many lives and properties”, the release stated.
The Islamic group charged Nigerian
leaders at all levels to lead with utmost fear of Allah, while the led cooperate with the government, to enhance the quality of life of the downtrodden, in the country.
The Companion condemned the failure of the United Nations Organization UNO and the World’s Super Powers to stop the age-long genocide and oppression against the defenceless Palestinians in Gaza as well as the Russia/Ukraine crisis with their concomitant devastating consequences on World peace and humanity.
“On the Palestinian carnage, the World leaders need to pick up the gauntlet and put a stop to the arrogance and inordinate ambition of Israel’s expansionist drive in Arab land and their irresponsible backers. The United Nations Organization needs to live up to the expectation of its member-nations, which are continually oppressed and bullied by some other countries tagged as untouchables”, the group noted.
