Two Arrested For Impersonating Officials Of Lagos Ambulance Service
Two suspects identifies as Nuche Joseph and Lawal Rofiat, 29 years old have been arrested for allegedly impersonating officials of Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS) to exploit members of the public
The suspects were arrested by operatives of Lagos Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS)s on 29th April, 2025 while posing as officials of LASAMBUS.
The suspects, working with BrainGrace Ambulance service, have been impersonating Lagos Ambulance Service and fleecing accident victims of various sums of money for pre – hospital care which is rendered free of charge to accident victims in the state, RRS said in the statement.
According to a statement published on the social media handles of the RRS, the arrest of the suspects followed exposure of their fraudulent activity on social media by relatives of an accident victim.
The relative had complained that BrainGrace Ambulance he was forced to cough up N150,000:00 for pre-hospital care. but the victim died before getting to the hospital.
The relatives of the deceased, realizing the service was designed by Lagos State Government to be rendered free of charge felt exploited.
They took to social media to expose BrainGrace Ambulance erroneously claiming that they were defrauded by Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) officials.
“The two suspects have made confessional statement to the police and have been charged to court” RRS said in the statement.
