Lenten: Hon. Kazeem Salvador Felicitates Christian Faithful, Prays for Peace
By Jide Afolabi, Lagos
The All Progressives Congress Chairmanship Aspirant for Itire-Ikate LCDA, Surulere, Lagos, Hon. Kazeem Salvador, has extended his warmest felicitations to Christian Faithful on the commencement of Year 2025 Lenten season.
As Christians embark on the 40-day journey of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth, Salvador reminded them of the biblical significance of Lent, citing Matthew 4:1-2, where Jesus Christ fasted for 40 days in the wilderness.
Lent, he emphasized, is a period of repentance, forgiveness, and spiritual rejuvenation, as Christians prepare to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Salvador encouraged Christians in the Itire-Ikate LCDA to use this holy period to seek forgiveness and blessings from God.
He urged them to remember the words of Isaiah 58:6-7, which emphasizes the importance of fasting, prayer, and acts of charity.
Furthermore, Salvador called on Christians to pray for the peace, prosperity, and unity of Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
He wished everyone a blessed and rewarding Lenten season, praying that God accepts their fasting, prayers, and good deeds during this period.
