Abure’s Ouster: A Relief to Party, Nigeria – Joseph Faduri
The sacking of Julius Abure as Labour Party chairman has been met with relief from the former Labour Party presidential aspirant and Rescue Movement for New Nigeria leader, Mr. Faduri O. Joseph, who claims Abure’s leadership was a “total disaster” for both the party and Nigeria.
According to Faduri in a statement released to the media today, Abure’s greed, corruption, and blatant abuse of law led to the party’s loss in the 2023 general elections, which Labour Party was poised to win.
Faduri alleged that Abure’s tenure was marked by selling party tickets to the highest bidder, disregarding decency, competency, compassion, and patriotism.
This, he claims, turned the party into a “money-making body” instead of a quality leader-making organization. He also criticized Abure for suspending great leaders who opposed him and allowing illegalities to go unchecked.
He advised Labour Party members to come together and reposition the party for the 2027 elections, envisioning a Nigeria free from tribalism, favoritism, ethnicity, and incompetence.
The former aspirant emphasized the need for Nigerians to have hope again and for the party to form a united front to rescue the country from its current state.
The statement highlighted Nigeria’s struggles, including a devalued currency, corrupt economy, and lack of good governance policies.
Faduri stressed the importance of addressing these issues and promoting democracy, freedom of speech, and youth empowerment.
He concluded by urging party members to come together to rescue Nigeria from its current mess, emphasizing that “a nation that has everything but lacks everything” can still make a change.
