The Ajeniju of Halleluyah community, Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State, Oba Yusuf Jelili Olaiya, was reportedly beaten to a stupor over a Jummat service dispute on Friday.
It would be recalled that the Ajeniju of Halleluyah was installed by the Timi of Ede land, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal which sparked controversy between the people of Ido-Osun and Ede communities last year.
Some youths from Ido-Osun community allegedly attacked the Ajeniju of Halleluyah for installing Hammed Tijani as the Chief Imam of Halleluyah community on their land.
The attack occurred when the newly appointed Chief Imam attempted to conduct a Jummat service.
The monarch sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the government hospital in Osogbo for medical treatment.
According to a security source, the situation escalated, resulting in the vandalization of the palace and a physical attack on the Ajeniju of Hallelujah, who sustained serious injuries.
The source added that the monarch has been taken to the State CID for further investigation.
