I Appointed Christopher Musa At A Critical Moment – President Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu says that the appointment of the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa as Minister of Defence, comes at a critical time.
Tinubu said this on Thursday, in a post on his X handle in which we commended the Nigerian Senate for the expedited confirmation of Musa.
The ex-military chief was faced with tough questions from members of the red chamber in a screening session that lasted many hours on wednesday. His appointment was afterwards confirmed by the lawmakers.
Tinubu in his post, said, “Two days ago, I transmitted the name of General Christopher G. Musa, our immediate past Chief of Defence Staff and a fine gentleman, to the Nigerian Senate for confirmation as the Federal Minister of Defence.
“I want to commend the Nigerian Senate for its expedited confirmation of General Musa yesterday. His appointment comes at a critical juncture in our lives as a Nation.
“God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
