Davido Reacts To Osun Gov’s Resignation From PDP
Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to the resignation of his uncle, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Davido reposted the announcement with the caption “Jeje…” on his X handle on Tuesday, a remark many users interpreted as a subtle call for calm following the political developments.
Adeleke’s resignation, which became public on Monday night, was contained in a letter dated November 4, 2025, addressed to the chairman of Ward 2 in Ede North.
The governor cited unresolved issues within the PDP national leadership as his reason for leaving the party.
The development has created uncertainty ahead of the PDP governorship primary for the 2026 Osun election.
While the state chapter said the primary would be postponed due to internal disputes, the National Working Committee maintained that the exercise would go on, despite Adeleke being the only aspirant who purchased the nomination form.
