Winners Of Local Government Elections In Rivers Receive Certificates Of Return
The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has presented certificates of return to all the chairmen-elect and vice chairmen-elect who emerged winners in Saturday’s local government elections in the state.
Chairman of RSIEC, Dr Michael Odey, presented the certificate of return at the RSIEC headquarters in Port Harcourt.
Newly elected councillors also obtained their certificates of return.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) won 20 of the 23 local government areas, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won in three local councils.
