Open Letter To The Delta State Governor, His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori,

I am writing to bring to your attention the deplorable state of the Bomadi to Urho Road and Ughelli to Patani Road, which is being ravaged by kidnappers.

Despite the people of Bomadi and surrounding areas consistently voting for PDP candidates, their road has been neglected for 28 years, leading to countless loss of lives and a haven for kidnappers.

I commend you for the rehabilitation of the Bedesiegha Bridge but urge you to intervene urgently in the rehabilitation of the Bomadi to Urho Road, especially before the rainy season begins. The continued presence of military personnel at the Bedesiegha bridge is a waste of resources and should be redeployed to areas where hoodlums are unleashing terror on road users.

The Bomadi to Urho and Ughelli to Patani roads require security personnel with the necessary weaponry to patrol the roads and address the menace of kidnapping. A joint task force should be constituted to work in synergy with Youth Presidents from communities along the roads to gather intelligence and ensure security.

Delta State is under siege by terrorists, and this new business of kidnapping must be eradicated at all costs. I propose a committee be set up to monitor the activities of herders within the state.

I urge you to treat the issue of Bomadi to Urho Road rehabilitation with seriousness and address the issue of kidnapping and killing in the state as part of your MORE AGENDA. End insecurity in Delta State before it’s too late.

Sincerely
Comrade John Ebikeme Odubolu
